Ceramic sculpture

Anastassia Zamaraeva is a sculptural ceramic artist based in London. She has been working with clay in some capacity since childhood. Now, as a qualified art psychotherapist, her art practice rests on the meeting point of art and art therapy. The draw of clay for Anastassia is in its innate ability to connect us to our unconscious. Her work, led by intuition and a sense of play, explores the multifaceted experience of being human; with all its melancholy, discomfort and humour. Anastassia's sculptures are characterised by tenderness and intimacy that arises from her deep connection with the material and her own subconscious.
