Cathy’s clay journey began at Putney School of Art and Design where she gained a Diploma in Art and Design in 2018. Clay became her chosen medium after she took a life sculpture class.
Having discovered her passion for clay, she studied at Morley College, London, graduating with a distinction in HND in Ceramics in 2020.
Ceramics combines her background in maths and chemistry with problem-solving skills developed during her years working in IT. She’s always been very practical and loves experimenting with clay’s boundless possibilities.
She’s taught ceramics from her home studio since January 2020, combining that with her own making. Her work is mainly sculptural and is often inspired by patterns and textures she sees in nature.
Cathy has exhibited extensively throughout the UK, and internationally.
