Kinga P Kruk
Painting
"Art is a wound turned into light."
Georges Braque
Kinga P Kruk is a self taught Polish contemporary/ abstract artist living and working in London, United Kingdom.
Kinga’s art is a distinctive manifesto of her heritage, identity, and creative spirit.
Her passion for art and creativity has grown as a strong part of her identity since she was little, watching her mother and grandmother’s creative talent.
Her work begins in a state of meditative stillness watching the energy of light to flow and manifest on canvas in different forms texture or colours, using intuition, expression and gesture as tools for self-transformation.
Her paintings are predominantly acrylic, sometimes oil on canvas. Kinga also likes to work in multiple layers of paint and texture, along with paper collage, pastels or palette knives.
Kinga considers each painting an expression of an inner world – a meditative process in which the paint is layered with her own internal charges depicting her emotions and feelings. She tries to focus on the interplay between gesture and colour, using loose, open and intuitive expressions.
“My goal is to create works that bring life and joy to the audience; I takes inspiration from life, nature and emotions around me.”
Kinga has exhibited at a variety of local galleries and art fairs since expanding her artistic practice in 2020.
She enjoys making commissions and selling to private clients. If you would like to arrange a private viewing, or for Kinga to bring a selection of works to your space so you can see how the work interacts with its environment, get in touch.
