Figurative sculpture

Sam Loggie is a sculptor whose artwork is steeped in the figurative traditions of the Renaissance, as well as being inspired by early 20th century sculptors such as Rodin. Sam’s work is underpinned by a rigorous life drawing practice as well as a deep knowledge of anatomy, proportion and pose. Her pieces combine a nod to classical forms, whilst the size and surface quality of her bronze pieces work well within contemporary spaces.

Sam is an art educationalist as well as a scholar of art history, and is currently reading for a Master’sdegree in the History of Art. There will be a selection of Sam’s recent bronzes and dynamic charcoal life-study drawings on display at Art House Wimbledon during the Wimbledon Arts Trail.
