Tim Norris
Outdoor sculpture
Tim is an Artist trained in Fine Art (Sculpture) and has been working since 1995 creating Art for public spaces. Tim’s work sits on the boundary of Furniture, Sculpture and Architecture . He often uses indigenous natural materials and tries to find a synergy with the artwork and its location.
Tim was born in London and continues to regularly exhibit, teach, and create commissioned work in the landscape throughout the UK and the world. Tim is an Artist Trustee of “Artification” Arts Charity and a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors.
Tim says, “I create human-scale outdoor sculptures that draw inspiration from the surrounding landscape. My sculptures aim to encourage a sense of interaction: either by sitting within or wandering through. Encountering indigenous natural materials and developing sculptural methods to utilise them is a motivating force in my art practice.
Working with organisations, arts educational charities, communities, and schools I have used my art to benefit others, developing a socially engaged practice. Collaborating and creating something meaningful to others is important to me.”
